Keroppi Matcha Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Strawberries and chocolate make such a yummy duo! Such a cute and yummy dessert. Such a simple way to make these cute matcha chocolate-covered strawberries. Here is how to create these matcha chocolate-covered Keroppi strawberries.
Ingredients:
I have attached links for some of the ingredients/items that I used below. This makes 20 strawberries.
20 Strawberries
80g White Chocolate
1 Tsp Matcha Powder
Decoration:
Pink Candy Melts
White Chocolate
Steps:
Let’s make Keroppi’s eyes. Take melted white and dark chocolate and draw the eyes on parchment paper.
Place the parchment paper into the freezer. We will be using these later.
Wash your strawberries and then use a paper towel to dry them off. Make sure the strawberries are fully dried before dipping them into the chocolate. Set your strawberries aside.
Let’s now melt our white chocolate. I am melting the chocolate through a double boiler. Take a saucepan and fill it with 1/2 cup of water. Once it boils, turn your heat to low and place a heat-proof bowl on top. Add in your white chocolate and consistently stir until the chocolate is melted and smooth. Once smooth, add in 1 Tsp of matcha powder and mix until everything is combined.
Take your strawberry from the stem and dip your strawberry into your melted chocolate. Make sure to gently twist from side to side to get rid of any extra chocolate.
Place your chocolate-covered strawberry onto your parchment paper. Continue until all your strawberries are covered in chocolate.
Take your eyes from the freezer and stick them onto your strawberry.
With melted pink candy melts, draw on 2 circles for the cheeks.
Take melted dark chocolate to draw a “V” for the mouth.
Place them in the refrigerator or freezer for about 5-10 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden.
Your Keroppi matcha chocolate-covered strawberries are ready to go! Such a yummy and cute snack to eat!
