Monsters Inc Matcha Baked Donuts
This is a very simple baked donut recipe. If you are a matcha lover, you need to try these matcha donuts. This baked donut recipe does not need any yeast. Here is how to create these Monsters Inc-inspired matcha baked donuts.
Ingredients:
70ml of Milk
90g Flour
3g Baking Powder
1 Egg
25g Vegetable Oil
40g Sugar
1/2 Tsp Vanilla Bean Paste
Pinch of Salt
Donut Glaze:
1 Tsp Matcha Powder
100g White Chocolate
Decoration:
I am using a donut pan that makes 6 donuts.
Steps:
Preheat oven to 300F.
Combine all the wet ingredients in one bowl. Give it a mix.
Combine all the dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Remember to sieve your flour along with the baking powder. Give it a good mix.
Gradually add your dry ingredients to your wet ingredients and mix.
Take your donut pan and coat it with some vegetable oil. This will help prevent the donuts from sticking to the pan once cooked.
You can add your donut batter into a piping bag and then pipe your batter into your pan. This is a much cleaner and less messy method. If you don’t have a piping bag, you can use a spoon.
Bake at 300F for about 15 minutes. Depending on your oven, it may be more or less.
Once cooked, let it cool off.
Melt white chocolate. Once melted, add in your matcha powder and mix until everything is combined. This is my favourite part, dip one side of your donut into the mix, and let it sit on a cooling rack or on parchment paper. Continue until all of your donuts are done.
While the matcha glaze is cooling off, let’s create Mike Wazowski’s eyes.
On parchment paper, let’s draw Mike Wazowski’s eye. Take melted white chocolate and draw a circle.
Take melted dark chocolate and draw a smaller circle within the white circle.
Take melted white chocolate and draw a little dot. You can look at the picture below for reference.
Place the parchment paper in the freezer for about 15 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden.
Place the chocolate eyes into each donut hole and your Monsters Inc-inspired donuts are complete. These are a healthier alternative to the typical donuts and are just as yummy!
